2007-01-09 Hi and welcome to ESLPAL.COM, Bill Boyd here, I’m the site creator, builder, administrator and general “jack of all trades” You’ll find this site will soon become your most valuable resource for all your ESL needs. Whether you’re a student, teacher or a school, everything you need will soon be hosted here for you for free! But it will require people like you to contribute. Learn how below Here’s how: join our community , post your questions or answers, post a job, browse for jobs, introduce yourself to a teacher, add an article, video, photos, browse our student resources, teacher resources, use your imagination to get involved and help yourself while helping each other. Teachers, you can browse jobs and upload your resume along with anything you would like to share with potential employers. Then add a link to your resume so that schools can view your stuff online! (Also it’s a great storage area that you can access from any computer with internet access.) Students, you can practice your English by chatting with other students or teachers. Also, you can chat with my son ‘Bill junior’ (a robot who I’m training to teach English) he’s cool and great fun! You’ll also be able to find worksheets, software and other good stuff which will be of great help to you. Schools, you can use this site to recruit both teachers and students. First, you will need to register and then you can post your vacancy. After that, if you are considering offering someone a position, why not browse their uploaded content on this site? You can even prescreen them using our private messenger service or meet in a chat room! You can promote your school (within the terms and conditions of our forum) for free, or advertise on every page of our website for a small fee, contact me for details. As you can see there is still a lot of ‘tweaking’ to be done and additions to be made so please be patient I am doing this in my spare time. If you have any suggestions for this site or find any errors in this introduction please post a reply to this thread. We’ll “get the ball rolling” that way. Bookmark or save this as your home page so you can easily start surfing or learning with one click! |
